Know Your Bronco's Year Before You Start
Ford changed the B&O amplifier wiring for 2025, so the install differs by model year:
- 2021 - 2024 Broncos: Use the included Radio T-Harness and T-Harness extension. The extension routes up the Driver side from the amp to the factory head unit, and the T-Harness connects at the radio. Your PAC module is the AP4-FD31.
- 2025+ Broncos: No T-Harness at all. The factory amp now powers every speaker (front, rear, and center), so every connection is made back at the amp. Your PAC module is the AP4-FD32, and one factory connector at the amp will look different from the '21-'24 photos (see the 2025+ reference photo in Part 4 of the PDF). Demonstration: LINK

Both bundles include: Helix Conductor Pro bass knob, SoundSkins kick panel sound deadening kit (with cutting templates), 1/0 AWG power kit with Trail Seven Fuse Bracket, PAC AP4-FD31/FD32, and your subwoofer choice: Trail Seven 10" Tailgate Enclosure, Trail Seven Dual 10" Down-Firing Sealed Enclosure, SSV Works 10" Side Enclosure (all loaded with the Helix IK W10 SVC2), or the Helix IK ES10.1-DVC2 MK2 down-firing ported enclosure.
Important Tech Tips/ Recommendations:
- The Conductor Pro must be connected. The system will not broadcast any signal without the Helix Conductor Pro plugged in. If you power up and hear nothing, check this connection first. Walkthrough video: LINK
- Ground wire goes ON TOP of the factory ground. When landing the amp board's ground with the factory 8mm bolt, seat it on top of the factory ground connector. Placing it underneath results in a poor ground, and the amps most likely won't power on.
- Don't connect to the battery until the end. After mounting the fuse bracket, tape the end of the power lead and leave it disconnected until everything else is installed.
- Keep the amp board USB accessible. The USB port on the back of the amp board is your access to the MATCH DSP settings. Your system ships pre-tuned, but leaving this reachable avoids pulling the side panel again if you ever want a live tuning session with us.
- Kick panel sound deadening: Clean the area with alcohol and a microfiber towel first. The outer SoundSkins piece lays over the kick speaker wire, so make sure you have enough wire slack inside the area before applying it.
- Bottom right amp board bolt: Space is tight. Use a 10mm box wrench (ratcheting preferred) for this one.
- 8-Ch (Compose i3 / MATCH UP 8DSP) only - center channel: The 8-Ch bundle adds a third Helix Compose i3 4" dash speaker (Ci3 C100.2FM-S3 MK2) in the center location, powered by the extra channels of the MATCH UP 8DSP. On '21-'24 Broncos, the molex connector with the grey wire on the T-Harness provides the center channel signal. The 6-Ch bundle (Compose Basic / MATCH UP 6DSP) uses the driver and passenger dash speakers only.
- Dual 10" Down-Firing option: The two Helix IK W10 SVC2 (2 ohm) subwoofers are wired in parallel with the provided lead (positive to positive, negative to negative), which presents a 1 ohm load to the MATCH UP 1FX.
- Break in: Give the speakers several hours of play time to loosen up from the factory. You'll likely notice an improvement in sound quality after the break-in period.
2-Door Broncos:
- Seat belt module: To seat the amp board, remove the seat belt retraction module (single T-50 Torx bolt underneath). Re-install it once the amp bracket is in place.
- Power & harness routing: 2-Doors don't have the rear trim piece behind the bench. The best route is underneath the rear bench carpet and out to the side. Find your path of least resistance before you start pulling wire.
- The SSV Works 10" Side Enclosure does not fit the 2-Door.
Manual Transmission Broncos:
- The firewall grommet shown in the video is used by the clutch harness on manual Broncos, so power routing will differ. Best practice is either cutting the rubber boot beside the clutch harness and routing through it, routing underneath the Bronco via the drain plug access points, or finding an alternate path you're comfortable with.
Chime Adjustment
Your bundle's PAC AmpPRO module handles the Bronco's factory chimes (door, seat belt, park sensors, etc.). The chime volume ships at the PAC default, and if you'd like it louder or quieter, the PAC instruction guide for your Bronco's year walks through the "how to" in detail:
- 2021 - 2024 Broncos (PAC AP4-FD31): See "Manually Setting the Chime Volume" (page 8): LINK
- 2025+ Broncos (PAC AP4-FD32): See "Setting the chime volume" (page 4): LINK
Tech Tip (If using the knob adjustment method): Grab a buddy for this one. One person presses the programming button on the PAC module while the other sits in the driver's seat and turns the Bronco's accessories on. From there, the PAC level knob is used to set the chime volume as described in the instructions.
