Kicker L7T 12" Tailgate-Mount Subwoofer Enclosure | '07-'18 JK Wrangler/ '18- Current JL Wrangler

Kicker just released the KJPL7T, and it solves the problem every Wrangler owner runs into: there is nowhere good to put a real 12-inch subwoofer. Instead of eating your cargo floor or your back-seat legroom, this one mounts flat against the inside of the tailgate.

What makes it work:

The Solo-Baric L7T is a thin-mount square subwoofer — the square cone gives you up to 20% more radiating area than a round sub of the same nominal size, and the shallow thin-mount design is what lets a 12-inch driver live in a 9-inch-deep box. The enclosure itself is roto-molded and weather-resistant, with heavy internal bracing, so it holds up to an open-top, open-door Jeep.

Important fitment notes:

• Fit varies by Wrangler model — designed for many, but not all, JL and JK configurations.
• JL (2018 - Current) and JK (2007-2018) each ship with their own model-specific install guide.
• If your Wrangler has the factory subwoofer on the passenger side, it must be removed for clearance. Replacement trim panels are available through MOPAR or aftermarket retailers.
• This is a passive enclosure — it requires an external amplifier, sold separately.
