Pivot Pods Installation Guide | '18- '23 JL Wrangler/ '20- '23 JT Gladiator

Welcome to your Pivot Pods Upgrade for your Jeep JL Wrangler/ JT Gladiator

The following guide will walk you through the entire installation which includes a step by step catalog.  Our installation video is in the works but this guide will get you over the finish line in the meantime.

If you have any questions, or need anything during the installation, we're only a phone call away.  We're available Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm est. for any support needed, or you can shoot us an email at support@trailseven.com.

These installation notes are intended to be used in conjunction with the installation videos based on the your bundle.

Tools Needed:

  • Phillips screwdriver

  • 10mm socket & ratchet

  • Trim panel removal tool

  • Wire crimper/stripper (if wiring speakers)

  • Zip ties (optional)

Steps:

  1. Remove Factory Panels:

    • Use a trim tool to remove the factory dash corner panels near the windshield (where the pods will go).

    • Save the factory screws—you’ll reuse them.

  2. Install the Pivot Pods:

    • Line up each pod with the factory holes on the dash corners.

    • Use the factory screws to secure the pods in place.

  3. Install Speakers (if not pre-loaded):

    • Mount your 4" speakers inside each pod using the screws provided with the speakers.

    • Connect the speaker wires (use crimp connectors or solder if needed).

    • Make sure positive and negative terminals are matched.

  4. Wire the Speakers:

    • Route speaker wire under the dash and over to your head unit or amp.

    • Use zip ties to secure wiring and keep it out of the way.

    • Plug the wires into your stereo’s front speaker outputs (or amp).

  5. Test the System:

    • Turn on your stereo and check for sound from both pods.

    • Adjust the pivot direction of the speakers to aim sound toward the driver/passenger.

Done!

Your Pivot Pods are now installed and ready to crank out sound. Let me know if you're wiring into a specific Jeep model—install details can vary slightly.
