Welcome to your Full Audio System Upgrade for your Non- B&O Bronco! 

The following will walk you through the entire installation which includes a video at the bottom of each section below.

These installation notes are intended to be used in conjunction with the installation videos based on the your bundle. 

Tech Tips

Tools You Will Need:

  • 8mm Socket
  • 10mm Socket
  • 6-8 inch Extension
  • 13mm Wrench (ratcheting wrench preferred)
  • Allen Key #3 & #4
  • Drill Tool
  • Panel Removal Tool
  • Wire Snips
  • Needle Nose Pliers
  • Small Flat Head Screwdriver
  • Small Phillips Head Screwdriver

Instructions For Installing Tailgate Subwoofer

1. Trim Removal:

  • Remove the trim piece on the tailgate using a panel removal tool.

2. Attach L Brackets:

  • Attach the L brackets to the specified locations on the enclosure.
  • Ensure the brackets are positioned correctly (refer to the photo).
  • The wire terminal will be pre-mounted and wired.

3. Mark Drill Holes:

  • Rest the enclosure in the slots on the tailgate.
  • Mark where to drill holes for rivet installation.
  • Slide the enclosure to the right side for the best fit.

4. Drill Holes:

  • Drill 3/8” holes where marked.

5. Install Rivets:

  • Use a rivet nut tool (or your preferred tool) to install 1/4-20 rivets into the drilled holes.

6. Mount Enclosure:

  • Mount the enclosure onto the tailgate with the provided 6mm bolts.

7. Connect Subwoofer:

  • Attach the positive and negative wires to the subwoofer.
  • Mount the subwoofer into the enclosure using the provided screws.

8. Route Sub Wire:

  • Route the subwoofer wire into the Bronco to connect it to the amp.
  • Use tape or zip ties (not provided) to secure the wire to the OEM wire harness.

9. Connect to Amp & Enjoy:

  • Connect the subwoofer wire to the amp terminals.
  • Finish the installation and enjoy your new sound setup!
