One of them we almost had to throw away because it kept popping open and the blade kept falling out. We finally got it to close after walking away from the install and taking a breather. If we didn't have this problem, it would have taken us 2 hours instead of 6."

The cable housing
"Great speaker, good instructions. The cabling coloring to tap into was a little confusing. Recommend placing positive symbols on the picture provided as a guide. The biggest bummer was that one of the plug ends for the provided wiring harness was wrong. At this moment waiting for some resolve. Should have been a straight blade connection both like the right versus the connection on the left."

Nice and easy add to the Kick bundle
"I wrote a very positive review for the Kicker dash and soundbar speaker upgrade, and this is an extension of that review. I was hesitant to add the powered subwoofer because I assumed I wouldn't be impressed. I've owned several high-end audio systems over the years, and I knew going in that this wasn't going to perform like a custom setup with a large, high-wattage subwoofer. Having said that. . . I was right. This is not comparable to a heavy-magnet, high-powered subwoofer. If you're looking for mirror-shaking, chest-pounding bass that rattles the neighborhood, don't buy this. You'll likely be disappointed because that's simply not what it's designed to do. What the Kicker powered subwoofer is is an incredibly easy way to complete the sound system. It's the missing piece that rounds everything out for someone who simply wants their factory system to sound significantly better without spending thousands of dollars. Installation is a little more involved than the dash and soundbar speakers. While I said almost anyone could install those, I'd say about 80% of people with a little patience can install this subwoofer themselves. Trail Seven's installation video walks you through the entire process, and it's excellent. Even if you've never installed car audio before, you can probably complete it in 2–3 hours by following along. Once installed, don't judge it immediately. Out of the box, the sound can actually seem a little underwhelming. The key is taking a few minutes to dial in the settings. There is plenty of information online to help you get everything adjusted correctly. Once it's properly tuned—especially if you've already installed the Kicker speaker upgrades—the entire system comes together. The powered sub doesn't overwhelm the music with booming, rattling bass. Instead, it fills in the low end with clean, balanced bass that the factory system simply can't reproduce. With the top off, the improvement is immediately noticeable. Music sounds fuller, richer, and easier to hear while driving. With the top on, the system shines even more because the bass stays inside the cabin and creates a much more complete listening experience. Again, this isn't going to hit like a custom competition system, nor is it intended to. What it does exceptionally well is eliminate the thin, bass-less sound of the factory system and make your music far more enjoyable. Another huge advantage is that the kit arrives 100% ready to install. You don't need to source wiring, connectors, adapters, or additional hardware. Everything has already been put together, eliminating the guesswork and making the installation process as simple as possible. When you consider the quality of the equipment, the complete plug-and-play package, the outstanding installation videos, and the noticeable improvement in sound quality, I think this kit offers excellent value for the money. If you had a competition-style system back in 1995 that shook the neighborhood, this isn't that—and it isn't trying to be. Recreating that experience today will cost a couple thousand dollars and take days to install properly. If you're looking for the best plug-and-play audio upgrade available at this price point, the combination of the Kicker dash speakers, soundbar speakers, and powered subwoofer is about as good as it gets. Set your expectations accordingly, and I think you'll be extremely happy with the results."

"I installed this speaker in my gladiator. It fits well behind the seat. The instructional video was great. The connectors don’t stay well in the slot though. I am looking for a little more bass so I am thinking about adding a second speaker. But for the price and size, this speaker is great."
