Kicker Speaker Bundle Installation Guide '07 - '18 JK Wrangler

Update: The '07-'14 speakers no longer require cutting.  We've released the speakers with the correct connector so you will NOT cut your factory wires.  Simply disconnect the factory speakers by pressing the tab to release the speaker.  You will then attach our female connector to the factory male connector and complete the installation of the speaker as shown in the video.  

 

These tips are intended to be used in conjunction with our full installation video below: See the above update in regard to the '07-'14 dash speakers- NOT CUTTING REQUIRED! 

Please follow these installation tips when you're ready to install your new Kicker Bundle into your 2007-2018 Jeep JK. 

2007- 2014 Jeep JK Bundle

1. Dash Tweeters- 

  • Remove per the video
  • UPDATED:
    • We've released our speakers with the appropriate connections.  NO CUTTING REQUIRED!
    • Simply remove the connection by pressing the small tab on the connector that is attached to the factory speaker.  
    • Attach the factory male connector to the female connector on our speaker.
    • Install into the dash housing as shown in the video. 

      2. Knee Panels-

      • Remove and install per the video.
        • TIP- Cover speaker cone and edge with your hand/ fingers to not puncture should the drill bit slip off from the screw head while tightening screws.
      • Brackets will come prepped for the boxes with all tabs removed.
      • Connectors will be attached which are different from the Soundbar. Labels are attached to each speaker to identify “Knee Panel” or “Soundbar”.
      • Use provided self-tapping screws to mount brackets and install provided Poly Fill as per the video.

      3. Soundbar-

      • It is not necessary to remove the Soundbar-
      • Remove and install per the video.
        • TIP- Cover speaker cone and edge with your hand/ fingers to not puncture should the drill bit slip off from the screw head while tightening screws.
      • Same as above, however speakers are labeled “Soundbar”.

       In case you have cut your connections and need the below reference:

      Note for the 2007-2014 Jeep JK's: Some models in this year range have different color dash speaker wires than seen in the installation video.  If your jeep differs, follow these wiring schematics: 

      Left Dash Right Dash
      Negative (-) Grey/ Yellow Grey/ Light Green
      Positive (+) Grey/ Orange Grey/ Dark Green

       2015- 2018 Jeep JK Bundle

      1. Dash Tweeters- 

      • Remove and install per the video.
      • Will come with the cross over and connector soldered on.
      • Use provided Kicker bezel to sandwich speaker and install.

      2. Knee Panels-

      • Remove and install per the video.
        • TIP- Cover speaker cone and edge with your hand/ fingers to not puncture should the drill bit slip off from the screw head while tightening screws.
      • Brackets will come prepped for the boxes with all tabs removed.
      • Connectors will be attached which are different from the Soundbar. Labels are attached to each speaker to identify “Knee Panel” or “Soundbar”.
      • Use provided self-tapping screws to mount brackets and install provided Poly Fill as per the video.

      3. Soundbar-

      • It is not necessary to remove the Soundbar-
      • Remove and install per the video.
